Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data the Pegly service (the “Service”, “we”) collects, why we process it, with whom we share it and what rights you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”, and for users from the European Union, with regard to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What data we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Water owner data: name, email address, phone number (optional), and information about your waters — name, description, location on the map, swims, prices and sessions.
- Angler data during booking: name and phone number, plus request details — the chosen water, swim, date and session.
- Waitlist data: the email address you leave to hear about the launch of the waters catalogue.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, date and time of access, and cookie data (see section 4).
2. Purpose and legal basis of processing
We process personal data to:
- provide access to the Service and its booking features;
- pass an angler’s request to the water owner to confirm the booking;
- send notifications about new requests and status changes;
- ensure security and prevent abuse and fraud;
- improve the Service and analyse how it is used.
The legal basis for processing is your consent, the necessity of performing the service you request, and our legitimate interests in maintaining and developing the Service.
3. Bookings and data sharing between parties
Pegly acts as an intermediary between the water owner and the angler. When an angler creates a request, their name and phone become available to the owner of the corresponding water solely to confirm the booking and get in touch. We do not use this data for marketing without separate consent.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your login session, remember your settings and analyse use of the Service. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with a limited number of service providers that help us operate, including:
- hosting and cloud infrastructure providers;
- email and notification delivery services;
- map data providers (satellite map tiles) for displaying waters;
- government authorities — only in cases provided for by law.
6. Storage and protection
We store personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this Policy, or as required by law. We take organisational and technical measures to protect data from unauthorised access, loss or alteration.
7. Your rights
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to:
- access the data we hold;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of data;
- withdraw consent previously given for processing;
- object to or restrict processing.
To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contacts page.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data of minors.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with the date of the last update.
10. Contacts
For questions about the processing of personal data, contact us via the Contacts page.
